Love-Connect-Serve

Love

Life is lived in relationship. We are committed to building healthy and loving relationships with God and each other. People matter to God, and they matter to us – believer and unbeliever alike – we love people at the Lakeside church. We understand our relationship with Jesus Christ is personal not private, and we are called to live life together in honesty, authenticity, and transparency.

This is where it all starts, literally. It was in God's love for us that we were created. It was in Jesus love for us that He went to the cross. And from that great love that God has for us, we love one another.

At the Lakeside church we do not want to just talk about God's love, we want to live it, walk in it, experience it, and most importantly, share it with others.

Connect

At  the Lakeside church want every person that walks through our doors to feel like they are a part of a family. We want everyone to feel like they belong. Unfortunately, that doesn't just happen, we have to be intentional. Connection comes as we reach out to one another. In this class we will discuss what it means to live life in covenant relationship with one another.

Dr. Ray Ortland says, "The Christian who is not committed to a group of other believers for praying, sharing, and serving, so that he is known, as he knows others, is not an obedient Christian." There are no loners in God's house, we are in this together!

Life is lived through relationships. This class is designed to teach the importance of living that life together. We want to do everything possible to make sure we are a church where people are living life together in loving, caring, healthy relationships, connected together by a common bond, our faith in Jesus Christ.

Serve

At the Lakeside church we are a church that is equipping members for ministry. We recognize that God has individually gifted every believer with a specific gift to be used to accomplish His will. We are dedicated to mentoring and nurturing our people to learn how to operate in their individual, specific God-given gifts.

True greatness in life is found only we serve others. Jesus modeled for us what service is when He washed His disciples feet. His instruction was clear, "what I have done for you, you should do for others." Our goal is to have every member of our church serving in some capacity at the Lakeside church
